Located in Kansas City, Missouri. Twelve miles north of the center of Kansas City and easy to find. Tour begins with a ten minute movie telling the history of the company. Safety goggles and a radio receiver are given to each person so you can hear the guide throughout the factory. Tour lasts about thirty minutes and there's never a dull moment. Country Club Plaza is a Ritzy Marketplace that features an outdoor plaza made of Historic Buildings adorn with Romantic European Fountains and Sculptures running along a River. Some of the best Designer Shops and several upscale Restaurants for you to try. A great place to spend a romantic evening with someone special or shopping with the girls. Steamboat Arabia Museum
Located at 400 Grand Blvd., Kansas City, Missouri 64106. Take a tour of the Arabia Steamboat Museum. Arabia Steamboat sank in 1856 and was excavated 132 years later. See what they found! 220 tons of merchandise for settlers out west. On board they found China, Gold, Guns, Keys, Tools, Glasswork, Buttons, Jewelry, Clothing, Bolts of Cloth, Boots, Shoes, Food and Perfume. There's also a General Store display. Perfect for families with older children. Give your kids the chance to see what life was really like. Great for history buffs and enjoyable for seniors. What could be better than this? Science City at Union Station
Located at 30 West Pershing Rd., Kansas City, Missouri 64108. Science City at Union Station has so much to offer! Visit the Space Center, see the Suspended Helicopter, crawl through the Sewer Tunnels, try out the Mini Golf Course, take in a show at the IMAX theatre, ride the train, climb the Tree house, solve a crime, give a weather report at the Weather Station, play with the Bubble Machine and play on the Playground. Perfect place to take your kids, young and old. They will love you for it! There's something for everyone! Places to eat available as well. National World War Museum at Liberty Memorial
Located at 100 West 26th St., Kansas City, Missouri 64108. The National World War Museum has one of the greatest collection of WWI artifacts. Featuring the 217 foot tall Memorial Tower, an underground museum documenting the history of the "Great War, " films providing an overview of the war, the largest collection of World War I artifacts, photographs, uniforms, letters from the field, weaponry and life size trenches of the western front. Touring lasts 2-3 hrs or more depending on your interests. Admission for Adults (12-64) $8, Seniors (65+) $7, Children (6-11) $4 and Children (0-5) Free. Parking is Free. Handicapped Accessible. Worlds of Fun
Located at 4545 NE Worlds of Fun Dr., Kansas City, Missouri 64161. Worlds of Fun is a fantastic theme park full of endless fun. Roller Coasters, Water Rides, Timber Wolf, the Prowler, the Patriot, the Spinning Dragon, the Mamba, the Boomerang and there is section for small children! Great selection of Food and Beverages, but rather expensive. Friendly and courteous staff. Park is very clean, especially the bathrooms! To avoid long line visit weekdays. Lines are short and you are able to ride everything easily. Strollers available for rent on-site. Admission 48'' and taller $39.99, Under 48'' and Seniors $17.99, Children (0-2) Free. Parking $10. Kansas City Zoo
Located at 6800 Zoo Dr. Kansas City, Missouri. Come and visit the Kansas City Zoo with more than 95 acres where more than 400 animals roam. See the Polar Bear exhibit, the Orangutan Nursery, the Lions, the Australian area where the kangaroo's roam free, the Suspension Bridge, the Aviary, the Rain Forrest, the Otter area, the Discovery Barn and don't miss the Sea Lion Show! There are other things to do as well. Rent a paddle boat, dine at one of the restaurants within the zoo, walk the Shaded Trails or check out the petting zoo perfect for little ones!
